In 1870 the brig Kong Carl departed from Christiania June 24th, and arrived at Quebec Aug. 28th. She was sailing in ballast, and was carrying 234 steerage passengers, all was well at arrival. The Kong Carl was mastered by Capt. Gundersen, and had a crew of 14. The passenger list for this voyage was archived by the National Archives of Canada [NAC], and the passenger were listed in the Christiania Police Emigration Records, kept by the Statsarkivet in Norway
