Robert Johan Karlsen was my Great Grandfather, he was born 18 Aug 1877 on Bygdnes, Sortland, Norway and his parents was Carl Jentoft Ingebrigtsen 1850-1929 and Maria Kjerstine Robertsdatter 1847-1929.

This is what I know about him:
I found him in Emigrant sailing from Trondheim.

Here we can see that Robert left Norway in 1905 and 1924 and his destination was Canada.

I found him in Border Crossings: From Canada to U.S., 1895-1956 as Robert Karlson, in 1903: Port of Arrival: Quebec, Canada Port of Departure: Liverpool, England and in 1905: Port of Arrival: Quebec, Canada Port of Departure: Liverpool, England.

He became an American citizen and had American pass who was dated 13 Nov 1919, and his home place was Swift, Minnesota.

Robert had siblings in US and he visited them, and he lived with his brother Nordal Karlsen in 1920 in Roseau, Minnesota, he left to British Columbia for fishing all the tracks after him are gone.

I know that he died between 1930 to 1936 because when his brother Nordahl Karlsen died the obituary says that his brother Robert preceded him in death.

I have a cousin who remember Robert from 1930, but he don`t know more about him.

My Great Grandfather lived in US and was a lot in British Columbia for fishing.

Is there anyone who can help me with my Great Grandfather?
I want to know everything about him, all information are interesting.
