He was born in 1876, he died in 1927. He emigrated to Canada in 1903. I have heard he was a farmer in Cross River, Canada a while. Then he moved to LittleFork, Minnesota. He married a lady called Anne Engeberg Bjerke , probably born in Trondheim , Norway in 1889. She died in 1974.
I hope anyone can help me to find out something more about them, maybe they had children?

Here is a birthrecord for an Ole that Ole Matias Paulsen fathered with Kari Olsdatter in 29 Jan 1904. The uegte means out of wedlock.

I believe this is Mari Knudsdatter in the 1900 census still in Lom, but by then she is widowed (that's what the "e" means)

I believe this might be Paul Johannesen's death record. Died on 14 Dec 1879 in Lom.

The 1920 US census shows an Ole Paulson in Jameson township, village of Littlefork, Koochiching County, Minnesota who appears to match your basic identifying information.
This page is VERY difficult to read - but I'll do my best. I'll use "?" where I'm not sure what is written.
Ole listed as 43 yrs old, born Norway, immigrated 190?, wife named Anna or Anne who was born in Norway but I cannot read her age. They have two sons and five daughters and they all appear to have been born in Minnesota, the oldest being 11? yrs old. I can only read a few of the children's names - Gustoff?, Marta, Pearl, Olaf, Hedda?, Bernice?.

The 1910 census shows Ole Paulson and wife Anna in Koochiching Co., Minnesota. Ole is listed as 31 yrs old born Norway, Anna is listed as 21 yrs old born Norway. They have two children, Maria 4 months old and Gustof almost 2 yrs old - both children born in Minnesota. They indicate they have had 3 children - but only two are still living. Ole lists his year of immigration as 1902, I can't read the year for Anna and I also cannot read Ole's occupation. (His occupation was also not readable on the 1920 census.)

Checking the Minnesota Birth and Death Certificates Index online for the Paulson name in Koochiching County would probably give more information about the family.

Gustav Adolph Paulson born 2 June 1908 was my grandfather. Ole and Anna were my great grandparents. Ole had a livery stable in Littlefork. Gustav left Minnesota when he was about 16 and came to Montana with an uncle. Gustav married Neva Croskrey in Kalispell MT in 1932. They had 2 children, Gustav Adolph Jr and my mother, Lenore. Gustav Sr. died Nov 1988.

I loved horses as a child and my grandfather used to tell me stories about the horses and ponies they had at the stable.

Ole ran a drayline and livery in Littlefork. He had a Ford Car dealership and garage. For a short while he ran a tavern. He also did a lot of gravel work for the village of Littlefork.
