Seeking info on Svein Everson Lie born 9/18/1823, wife Torbjorg born 11/10/1813 and son born 9/15/1844. Son believed to have same given name as father. Immigrated to America from Bø Telemark in 1845 with Alrick Everson Skjelbrei born 1/24/1811, wife Aagoth born 11/28/1813 and daughter Helge born 11/21/1842. Spellings here are from bark Industrie passenger list however, gravestone inscriptions match almost identical to additions made to the passenger list. Everson is the surname the family retained here. Birth dates match gravestones also except for Torbjorg inscription of 11/13/1813 and Aagoth 11/28/1818. Parents names of the boys was Even (Eiven?) and Gunvor or Ingeborg? Any information pertaining to the above people is geatly appreciated

Aagoths mother, Anne Olsdatter, is most likely the one that was 19 years old in 1801. The name of the cottar place is Trælsborg.

Thank you everyone for putting in the time and gathering all the information. I have a few more questions. Looking for a brother Holvor to Svennung and Aslak. Born around 1820-1821. May possibly have been other siblings. It is believed that parents Even and Helge immigrated to America either before or at the same time as Svennung and Aslak. Holvor believed to have immigarated around 1860. I found a possible marriage date for Svennung and Torbior of June 21, 1844 but that would have put Torbior pregnant with Svennung who was born 9/15/1844? Also wondering if Aslak and Aagoth may have had two sons born before Helge was in 1842. Svenning 9/3/1837 and Even 8/31/1841? Aslak's confirmation record indicated a d.o.b of 1/24/1811 but the birth record you found listed it as 2/6/1812. Could it be the same Aslak?

Halvor, Svennung and Aslaks brother, was born Dec 10 1821, see #7 on left page.
Parents were at Skogen under Bøe at that time.
Marriage record for Svennung and Torbior, #18 - so she must have been pregnant, not uncommen.
Confirm the son Svennung, born Aug 21 1837, see
#100 parents Aslak Evensen and Aagot Heljesdatter, Tangen under Bøe Rectory, and Even born Aug 3 1841, see
#71. Parents were then on Skjelbrei under Folkestad.

- when in doubt, more checking could be done.

The two sons to Aslak and Aagoth - is possible they passed away before immigrating? Only child listed with them on the ship is Helge. Also, can you distinguish the names for Halvor's wife and children? Appears to me the children may be Svennung, John and Helge?

Halvor Evensens wife was Gonvor Johnsdatter.
Their son Svennung was not born in 1844 as said in the record when they moved out of Bø, His bapt record says born at Tangen under Bø rectory March 1 1845, see #41.
Their son John was born Dec 26 1857, see 3rd record on left page. Family now living at Liene under Aase.
Their son Helge was born Nov 23 1859, see 3rd record on left page.
Halvor and Gonvor were married Nov 20 1844, see #27

Any possibility of finding a death record for Aslak and Aagoth's sons Svennung and Even? Either they passed away or stayed behind in Norway when the family immigrated in 1845.

Can someone tell me the meaning of Tangen under Bø, Skogen under Bø, Skjelbei under Folkestad, Liene under Aase? Is Eidanger a a village/town? Was Birketvedt a cottar place?

Tangen under Bø, would mean that Tangen was a subfarm, under the main farm, which was Bø. Eidanger used to be a rural parish, but now it is part of Porsgrunn. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eidanger
Here is a map. http://www.maplandia.com/norway/telemark/eidanger/
