i am looking for any marriage records on Torkild Aavaldsen or any children other than my grandfather he had. Also looking for Gunder Halvorsen wife name. they had a daughter Johanne G. Gundersdr.

Did you scan through the christening records from Skåtøy for the year when Johanne G. Gundersdr. was born, without finding her? Her mother will be listed in the christening record, and I would urge you to learn how to navigate through them.

Search by Familysearch and check the church book.

Marriage of Torkild Aavaldsen in Familysearch
A search for children gave these:
MARIA Christening: 08 OCT 1837 Tørdal, Telemark,
AASMUND Christening: 08 APR 1830 Tørdal, Telemark GUNNER Christening: 26 SEP 1841 Tørdal, Telemark
OVALD Christening: 26 MAY 1828 Tørdal, Telemark

i do not feel this is right as my grandather was born 1883 and torklid was born in 1855, kragero,

Johanne G. Gundersdr. = Johanne Gurine Gundersdatter was born Dec 17 1856, see #16. Parents sailor Gunder Halvorsen and Ingebor Halvorsdatter, Hampemyr.
Gunder Johan Halvorsen (23) and Ingebor Halvorsdatter (25) were married Dec 26 1848, see #27.
Gunders father was Halvor Gunnuldsen and Ingebors father was Halvor Jakobsen.

Gunder Johannes was born Febr 16 1827, see #19. Parents Halvor Gunnuldsen and Anne Johannesdatter, Røevig.

Ingeborg Halvorsdatter was born March 15 1822, see #26. Her parents were Halvor Jacobsen and Aslau Andersdatter, Kammerfoss under N. Kalstad.

Bapt. record for Therkild (Terkel) Aavaldsen is #37, he was born July 1 1856, his parents carpenter Aavald Therkildsen and Aase Olette Guttormsdatter, Bjørnsbergbakken.

No sign of Torkild/Therkild/Terkel Aavaldsen in the 1900 census.

again thank you for your wonderful help. I am so excited as i am going to make a trip to Norway within a year and will feel like i have my roots found. I have searched for my great grand father torkild aavaldsen with no sucess. Death, marriage , or children .Hope so day to find a living relative to talk to .thank you

In 1865 Torkel had two sister, Gunstine Gurine Aavaldsdatter, born Oct 18 1859, see #22, and Marie Olette Aavaldsdatter, born Oct 5 1862, see #26.
Most likely there was more siblings born after 1865.
