I have found a letter written to my great grandfather Nils Halvorsen-(Later changed to Egeland) from the white star line. It's not a record of crossing as it's dated 1889 and they came across in 1886.
I am going to try and add a scanned copy of it.

I have also found his sofartsbog and was wondering if anyone could maybe translate this as well.
Thanks,
Vernon
This is a copy of the scanned document: hopefully it works.

My grandfather was a merchant marine in Norway at the start of his career. I have his logbook of the Sofartsbog dated 1913 that I would like to share here but I don't see how to upload pictures.
