In 1885 0r 1886 a group of Welsh left Wales for South America aboard the Vesta. Some of your information suggests there were two such ships built in 1847 and 1851. Do you know if one of the Norwegian built sailing ships might have made this voyage and which one?

We have no records of any of those ships from 1885 or 1886, as they were no longer engaged in the freight of Norwegian emigrants. I know that VESTA was not a very uncommon name for ships at the time, so it could really be a number of ships by that name. The most important information you need when you want to identify a ship is to know the name of the captain.
