I am looking for info on Ommund and Ingeborg Skreen. Ommund was born in Norway in 1871 and married Ingeborg Leland in Frankfort, Michigan in 1896. They settled in Pierce county, Washington and Ommund died in Tacoma in 1949, Ingeborg in 1941. Maybe they also lived in Canada for a while.

I do not know if they had any children. Is there anyone who have any info on these people ?

A possible grand-son?
Richard T. "Dick" Skreen (1922 - 2011)
His parents was Ole Skreen (25 Dec 1896 - Mar 1978) and Anna. Not sure if Ole is a son of Ommund & Ingeborg?
A Memorial Service was held only 10 days ago.

Thank you for all this info.

These children are found :

- Selmer 1903 - 1987
- Arthur 1909 - 1986
- Irene 1912 -

Can this family be found in the 1930 census ? Perhaps it shows the names of some younger children.

Hi,

At genealogybank.com in the historical newspapers section, entering the last name Skreen brings about 4,000 entries. The largest part of them are articles written by someone called "Chet Skreen". Chet is often the nickname of Chester, perhaps the Chester Skreen in the family worked for the Seattle Daily Times?...

Hi,

Ole may or may not be in Omund's family--or perhaps there are two?

Here is the 1910 transcription at www.familysearch.org:

This Ole Skreen is a bit confusing.

1. Ommund and Ingeborg had a son born in Michigan about 1897, Ole Skreen. They later moved to Tacoma, Washington.

2. Ommunds brother, Thomas Skreen (1862-1946), also emigrated from Sirdal in Norway to America. He also lived in Michigan where he married Aasa Pedersen Liland (Leland).
They had a son born in Michigan, Ole Skreen (29 may 1895 - 4 Apr 1972).
This family also moved to Tacoma and here Ole married Anna Gullickson in 1919. I think that this couple is the parents of Richard in the obituary.
