I found Johannes and Carrie when they both died ca 1955 in Helena, Montana.

I havn't found Anette Karoline or Anna Antonsdt.

Christian did marry to Anna Mae Hartmiller 30. march 1920 and she died 8. december 1970. Ivar A. did marry to Catherine H. Hartmiller, b: 28. sept. 1916 - d. 1. augusti 199 Anna Mae and Catherine were sisters and theire father was Joseph Hartmiller, who lived in Helena, MT.
Christian and Ivar A. lived in Deer Lodge Co., MT.

If YOU know some about this familiy, will my friend be very happy!

There is a Family Tree on Ancestry.com for Johannes Olsen Much of what is in that tree is covered above by the various links. However it is somewhat interesting that three of Johannes sons married three daughters of Joseph P Hartmiller.

Iver Alfred Olsen married Catherine H Hartmiller
Christian Olsen married Anna Mae Hartmiller
Elmer O. Olsen married Mary Josephine Hartmiller.

Click on her name and you will see that her name is Liv Loevtjernet from Norway. You can send her an e-mail through the Norway Heritage system if you click on the posters name. although there are some rules about doing so.

Thank you lyndal40.
I found this information about Karen Andreasdt and Johannes Olsen.

I believe Gjermshusberget is a farm in Vinger, Hedmark, Norway.
Johannes' parents most likely were Ole Anderson and Karen Johannesdt.
Karen had a brother Hans who emmigrated to American before them.

Not sure if this is correct.

I can't find anything about Karen's parents. Given the way they did last names back then it makes it hard. Any help anyone can give me on researching people in Norway would be helpful. I think the site I've been using mostly covers America. Also does anyone know anything about whether there are any sites like this for German and French descendants I am trying to research whether Anne Marie Hartmiller was french or if her husband Andre were both german and just lived in France.

TIA VOlsen
