I'm sorry. Not sure why I have Vinger not Grue I have the same baptism record in my documentation.

I guess it will be next to impossible to tell if I have the right Kari and Johan if they didn't get married. Hopefully there will be another clue that might click.
Thank you so much.

Maybe Lynn has found your couple. If so they married very late in life, he would have been 58 and she 60. She does have the farm name of Løvhaugen attached to her. His farm name looks to be Baksjøberget

Here is the original record.

Anna's children list her as Anna Olsen

Anna Olson

BIRTH
6 May 1892 (Possible BD)
Vinger, Hedmark, Norway (Possible birth location)

DEATH
15 September 1966 (Possible DD)

Not sure what to think. Anna is a DNA match to the Olsen family. Has same immigration date and birth date as Anna Antondt who is speculated to be a sister or daughter of and came to America with Karen Andersen (wife of Johannes Olsen). Can't find a Birth record for either person. Curious of connection. If anyone finds birth record very interested.

Just realized Johannes had a half brother

Anton Andersen

1867 • Brandval, Hedmark, Norway

Wonder if it could be Johannes niece? Appreciate any thoughts anyone might have. TIA

What does hj and b mean on travel record. Fam stilling means family position right? Does that mean b means biologically related?

I received this message in regards to my adding this info to my tree:

I got the above person up as a dupe to my L1KX-GVL.

Just thought I'd let you know that your entry is incorrrect
according to the original church records and bygdebok for Grue Finnskog page 531.

The person born 21 May 1823 and christened 8 July 1823 should be Johannes not Johan. Also, he died at the age of 15 from smallpox, thus he is not married.

The mother's name Anne Olsdatter is correct, but I see you have not registered a father's name.

I'm unable to find any Johan Johansen born in Baksjøbergt on these dates under Baksjøberget in the bygebok nor in the church records.

I am really struggling to figure out this line.

Johannes Olsen
1874–1947
Is my great grandfather

I have his parents as

Ole Anderson
6 May 1841
Brandval, Hedmark, Norway (which DNA confirms)

Karen Johannesdatter
2 November 1849
Vinger, Hedmark, Norway

]However Karen's parents and grand parents are a mystery

I have Kari Anderdatter and Johan Johansen as her parents nor sure if that is correct but closest I could find appreciate any help I could get. Thanks in advance.

No record for Karen in Vinger on November 2, 1849. There is a transcription record for Karen Johannnesdatter born 12 Nov 1849 but Ancestry lists her as being baptized in Grue Parish.

Karen Johansen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Karen Johansen
Gender: Female
Birth Date: 12 nov 1849
Baptism Date: 10 mar 1850
Baptism Place: , Grue, Hedmark, Norway
Father: Johan Johansen
Mother: Kari Andersdr
FHL Film Number: 307241

Original record is number 61

Sorry typo ya that's the record I have and I can find records for Kari Andersen that I can corroborate with dna but Johan Johansen is just impossible to find anything for his family. My dad's DNA is 40 percent Finlander and I haven't found a single Finlander in his trees so far. Appreciate any help you can give me. I am hoping I can find one in this line or it may be one or 2 others.

I noticed that in the baptism records there is a Johan Petersen listed as one of the fadder. The father of the Johan Johannessen who married Kari Andersdatter in 1881 is also named Johan Pedersen

Look at the witnesses for the baptism of Number 235.
