Thanks that sounds promising.
However I am seeing any likely baptism records for
Johan Pedersen Or Kari Johansdr
Hoping if I can get far enough I can corroborate with DNA and hopefully then eventually figure out where Finnish DNA comes in. Appreciate all your help. |

You have to look a little closer at the information already posted. Note the father in the original record for Johan Johansen born in 1821 posted above. His name is listed as Johan Pedersen Rotneberget. So look for a Johan in Grue with father Peder who is living on Rotneberget. Here is a record for a Johan born 1799 father Peder Olsen Rotneberget and mother Marie Pedersdatter
Link
Original record number 136
#136
Here is the family in the 1801 Census on Rotneberget including one year old Johan.
1801 Census
It is very likely that your Finnish connection comes though this family.
Here is a Geni.com Tree that traces the ancestry of Peder Olsen back to Steffen Persson Navilainen of Torsby, Värmland, Sverige.
Geni.com I noticed that he is included in the Family Tree DNA "Det skogfinske DNA-prosjektet"

Looking for a Kari use the same approach. The farm name for Kari Johansdatter mother of Johan Johansen born in 1821 was Halvorkiernsberget. This was a little tricker since I did not find Kari directly on the Digitalarivet site but I did find children born to a Johan Johansen and Kari Danielsdatter Halvorkiernsberget. Using those parents I found this person on Ancestry.
Kari Johansen in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927 Name: Kari Johansen Gender: Female Baptism Date: 19 sep 1802 Baptism Place: , Grue, Hedmark, Norway Father: Johan Johansen Mother: Kari Danielsdr FHL Film Number: 124285
The original record is a little messy but look at number 95 in the Døbt column (the first column)
#95
This is likely the marriage record for the parents Johan Johansen and Kari Danielsdatter
Kari Danielsdr in the Norway, Select Marriages, 1660-1926 Name: Kari Danielsdr Gender: Female Marriage Date: 17 nov 1801 Marriage Place: , Grue, Hedmark, Norway Spouse: Johan Johansen FHL Film Number: 124285
Here is the transcribed marriage record from Digitalarkivet. Husband is widower Johan Johansen Halvorkiærnberget and his bride Kari Danielsdatter Løvhougen
Link
Original record is number 20 in the wedding column.

This is likely the first marriage of Johan Johansen to a Valborg Erichsdatter.
Johan Johansen in the Norway, Select Marriages, 1660-1926 Name: Johan Johansen Gender: Male Marriage Date: 15 apr 1799 Marriage Place: , Grue, Hedmark, Norway Spouse: Valborg Erichsdr FHL Film Number: 124285
They probably had one child in 1800 named Kari
Link
But Valborg died in the same year
Link
A best guess for the location of Johan Johansen in the 1801, not a lot of widowers that fit the profile

Well Kari Andersdatter 1821 presents some problems. There are no baptisms for a Kari Andersdatter in 1819 to 1823 in Grue, Hedmark. that I could find. She seems to have carried the farm name of Løvhaugen or some slight variation of that name thought out. That includes the birth of two children and her marriage late in life. The only Anders of Løvhaugen is named Anders Olsen and he married a Maria Poulsdatter. They did have a child in 1820 but she is named Maria.
Based on the confirmation record below it would appear that Kari was not born in 1821 but earlier.. Here is a Kari born in 1817 that is likely the correct one.
Kari Andersen in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927 Name: Kari Andersen Gender: Female Birth Date: 1 nov 1817 Baptism Date: 1 nov 1817 Baptism Place: , Grue, Hedmark, Norway Father: Anders Olsen Mother: Maria Poulsdr FHL Film Number: 124285 |

Probably the marriage of Anders Olsen and Mari Poulsdatter
Anders Olsen in the Norway, Select Marriages, 1660-1926 Name: Anders Olsen Gender: Male Marriage Date: 6 des 1797 (6 Dec 1797) Marriage Place: , Grue, Hedmark, Norway Spouse: Marthe Povlsdr FHL Film Number: 124285
See number 32 ? a little hard to read
Link
And some info on them from the MyHeritage website. The information would indicate that this is also a likely source of Finnish heritage in your husbands family.
Marie Olsen Løvhougen (born Poulsdatter), 1777 - 1870 Marie Olsen Løvhougen (born Poulsdatter) was born on month day 1777, at birth place, to Povel (Pål) Tomassen Räisäinen and Valborg Tomassen Räisäinen (born Pedersdatter Räisäinen). Povel was born on June 22 1729, in Pakkola, Løvhaugen, Grue Finnskog, Hedmark, Norge. Valborg was born in 1733, in Anttila, Løvhaugen, Grue, Hedmark, Norge. Marie had 10 siblings: Anne Danielsen Räisäinen (born Pålsdatter Räisäinen), Peder Pålsen Räisäinen and 8 other siblings. Marie married Anders Olsen Løvhougen. Anders was born in 1769. They had 9 children: Ole Andersen, Poul Andersen Løvhougen and 7 other children. Marie passed away on month day 1870, at age 92 at death place.
An intersting discussion on this family, its name and its origin.

And here is a Tree on Geni.com that should allow you to trace the family further back in time.

I think I went astray with this line for :
Anders Johansen 1819– BIRTH 7 AUG 1819 • Brandval, Hedmark, Norway
Name: Johan Hansen Sex: Male Wife: Lisbet Johansdr Son: Anders Johansen Other information in the record of Anders Johansen from Norway Baptisms
Name: Anders Johansen Gender: Male Christening Date: 05 Sep 1819 Christening Place: , BRANDVOLD, HEDMARK, NORWAY Father's Name: Johan Hansen Mother's Name: Lisbet Johansdr
I have his parents marriage as
Johan Hansen Norway Marriages, 1660-1926 Name: Johan Hansen Spouse's Name: Lisbet Johansdr Event Date: 16 Dec 1810 Event Place: , Grue, Hedmark, Norway
The closest I could find was
Johan Henrich Hansen Norway Baptisms, 1634-1927 Name: Johan Henrich Hansen Gender: Male Birth Date: 22 Apr 1791 Christening Date: 02 May 1791 Christening Place: FURNES,HEDMARK,NORWAY Father's Name: Hans Evensen Mother's Name: Mari Elingsdr

Closest I could find was
Hans Evensen Norway Marriages, 1660-1926 Name: Hans Evensen Spouse's Name: Mari Ellingsdatter Event Date: 10 Jul 1787 Event Place: Østre Toten, Oppland, Norway
Hans Evensen Norway Baptisms, 1634-1927 Name: Hans Evensen Gender: Male Christening Date: 26 Jan 1755 Christening Place: , NORD AURDAL, OPLAND, NORWAY Father's Name: Even Hansen Mother's Name: Joran Joensdr
Appreciate any help finding more logical options if anyone is able thanks again.

Well the parish book for Grue at 1810 is a real mess but someone already transcribed that time frame. So here is the transcribed version of the marriage. That gives the farm names attached to both the bride and groom which may help track down the right people.

Original Record

Using the farm name of Fenmoen or Femone does not get a farm in 1801 Census but does get a Tree with a Johan Hansen born 1771 with father Hans Mattisen and first wife Mari Johansdatter Kirnu.
Tree
Here is Johan in the 1801 Census, It seems to be some error here, I think that Hans and Mari are the parents of all the children.

Probably but not findable under that spelling in 1801 Census.
Olaf Rygh has this in Brandval
76,5. Fæmoen. Udt. fé`mó:'n.
This search is getting a little tricky now but we shall see where it goes.
Here is the Ancestry.com baptism record for the Johan Hansen born in 1771 to Hans Mattisen.
Johan Hansen in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927 Name: Johan Hansen Gender: Male Baptism Date: 27 jan 1771 Baptism Place: Brandvold,Hedmark,Norway Father: Hans Mathisen Mother: Mari Johansdr FHL Film Number: 124284
Geni.com
This would seem to be the marriage record for this couple, note the farm name of Fæmoen but they were married in Vinger not Grue. Now I know that Fæmoen is listed in Brandval not Vinger in the Rygh book but the bride is likely from Vinger thus married in Vinger.
Hans Mathiæsen Fæmoen in the Norway, Select Marriages, 1660-1926 Name: Hans Mathiæsen Fæmoen Gender: Male Marital Status: Single Marriage Date: 1 jul 1770 Marriage Place: Vinger, Hedmark, Norway Spouse: Maren Johansdaatter FHL Film Number: 124480 Reference ID: b 3 p 126
