This is likely that Petrus even tho the birth year is off by one. There are several Famly Trees on Ancestry.com for the family of Augustus but none of them tie this family with the other Hartmueller family.

I am trying to look back but not sure. Did someone happen to find the spouses of Anders Johansen and Johannes Johansen?

In the posting for Johannes birth and baptism it noticed that he was born "out of wedlock" (parents were not married).
In the birth record info is given that the parents intended to get married.
It was also said that this was the 2nd child born out of wedlock.
They were married Nov 7 1875 and the marriage record is #18.
Johannes father, widower Ole Andersen, Bukkebakke, was born in 1841 and his father was Anders Johansen.
Johannes mother, Karen Johannesdatter, was born in 1849 and her father was Johannes Johansen.
Search for any siblings require a bit of time.

I am refering to this Anders Johansen and Johannes Johansen

Ya I agree There are a few discrepencies between the Matthaeus Hartmueller family in Bavaria and the Mathias Hartmuller family that I have the passenger list for. However, I think you are right, maybe Barbara and Gulhelmus must have passed away and the small errors in the 2 birthdates are probably clerical errors. The rest of the dates and names match perfectly. I guess with this kinda thing you never know for 100 percent sure.

Curious for my cousin. Her other great grand parents are from Norway also. I am looking to see where they might be from. This the family https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M83L-4KV The father is Bernt Rustad I found this https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:3H3K-GDR
He has the same birth year as the estimated one but I can't say for sure that it is the same person there is nothing to connect them.

This is what I have for the family

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F3QC-6Z7 I probably could find more for family in the US but really just looking for information about the place Bernt and Anna Rustad were born. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Also jkmarler

I wanted to let you know you were on the right track regarding an area that the area they was french and german territority at different times. I came across this information about the area the Hartmillers were from.

Dirmstein, Pfalz

Dirmstein was first mentioned in the Weissenburg Codex as Dirame Stein in the eighth century. Later about 1110 the name can be found as Diremestein in an official Wormser document. The first church in Dirmstein was the St. Peter's Church built by a cloister in Worms in 1142. Dirmstein continued to grow over the years until 1689 when it was besieged and burned to the ground on the 7th through 9th of December by the French during the War of Succession. Reconstruction began in 1691 when Konrad Sauer began building his new house on the 23rd of April. By December, Dirmstein had thirteen new homes. In 1705, along with becoming the property of the bishopry of Worms, Dirmstein became the residence of the bishop. It wasn't until 1792 that Dirmstein declared itself free. France annexed this area in 1797 and Dirmstein became part of the French Department Mont Tonérne. French rule only lasted until 1816, when the Pfalz became part of Bavaria (Bayern). Finally in 1945, with the establishment of the Republik of Germany, Dirmstein became part of Rheinland-Pfalz. Today Dirmstein has approximately 3000 inhabitants and is known for it's vineyards.

But finding information in the US will be key to finding the right Bernt in Norway.

Here is a possible your Bernt Rostad
http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-gb/gen/vis/8/pe00000000141700

Here is the possible Bernt's birth /baptism in Norway #2, actual date birthdate is same as Bernt Rostad in US

The person in the tree you found "Bernt Olaus /Bredesen Rustad/" does not match well with the Bernt Rostad whose birth place who are seeking. The birth years match but the birth dates do not. The Bernt Olaus/Bredesen Rustad was born 4 Jan 1881 and your Bernt RostadRustad was born 14 Nov 1881.

Here is a birth date for your Bernt Rostad/Rustad from WWI Draf Registration, other records match this date.
Bernt Rostad
in the U.S., World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
Name: Bernt Rostad
County: Fergus
State: Montana
Birth Date: 14 Nov 1881
Race: White

There is a Bernt Bredesen of Rustad farm in the 1910 Norwegian Census born Jan 4, 1881, who may be the same person as the one found by you in a Family Tree but may not the same person you are seeking.

An obituary on Bernt Rostad was published in the Billings (Montana) Gazette on 12 Jan 1970 in which is birthplace is listed as Leksvik, Norway and his parents as Mr & Mrs Andrian Rostadsand.
