Some other helper can probably exactly locate the farm. I did no better than to find Medhaugbakken, and Medhaugvegen in Åkre, on this map (getting warm....)
Or try it yourself, enter place name in search box:
http://kart.finn.no/

Karmøy island is in Rogaland.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karm%C3%B8y

Looks like some Medhaug family members listed Skudenes as a residence. This seems to be the father in 1905:
http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=Stav1903&personpostnr=7041&merk=7041

Erik K Medhaug born 1899 in Aakra, departing from Stavanger 1924, residence British Columbia, Canada: <--------------------------- your man?
http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=Stav1903&personpostnr=28197&merk=28197

This family tree gives Erik's birthplace as Medhaug, Åkra, Rogaland:
http://www.hellesland.com/getperson.php?personID=I99401&tree=T1

1900 Norway Census on Midhaug farm [sic], in Aakra, Rogaland
Kristoffer Eriksen Midhaug 1863, Gaardbruger S og fisker
Hanna Eriksdatter 1865
Elen Kristoffersdatter 1894
Lina Kristoffersdtr. 1896
Malene Kristoffersdtr. 1897
Erik Kristoffersen born 10-11-1899

http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=19&filnamn=f01149&gardpostnr=337&personpostnr=1964&merk=1964#ovre

A family tree on Ancestry.com for Erik Kristoffersen born at Medhaug farm:
http://records.ancestry.com/Erik_Kristoffersen_records.ashx?pid=102469456

And another tree here, Erik Eriksen Medhaug (with the father's patronymic), same mother Hanne Tomine Eriksdatter b 1865, and this tree has him living in South Dakota:
http://vagshaug.no/allslekt/2607.htm

You may have all the above records and resources - but perhaps adding Erik's birthdate etc here might possibly help further the discussion of the family's residence (maybe) or help someone else.

Hi Kåre, Thanks for that. I wasn't able to find the farm on the map. Can you help?
I see a Medhougvegen (a road)
and a Medhoug address within Åkre.
Is the farm gone now? Taken over by the town?

It seems like the area in Åkrehavn (Åkra harbor) is developed, Medhaugbakken (Medhaug slope)
Medhaugveien (Medhaug road)
Medhaugsvingen (Medhaug curve) exist in this map

Write Medhaug and enter "Søk"

- not much left of the farm area belonging to Medhaug.

This map can be zoomed to locate the "leftovers".
