Ludvig of Australia seems to have used the name Henry as well.

Ruth Valle's mothers parents are listed as being from England and Ireland , so there it is unlikely that any connection can be found there.

In the previous topic the poster said that an image of the letter or the envelope were sent to Jane. I wonder about them...
The exact wording of the original post about emailing the image on was posted on 11 Jan 2013 and is quoted below. |

According to a Family Tree on Ancestry.com John Moore Birtten and Elizabeth Crowe were married in 1838 in Tasmania. They are shown to have had 13 children including Henriietta born in 1857. All of the children as near as I can see were born in Tasmania. Hard to make a connection there with Roald Amundsen.

Looking in more detail at the Family Tree from Odd Marthinsen, one can trace the Family Line from Helle Mikkelsdatter down to Maren Larsdatter married to Trules Svendsen. If you go to this link and click on Aner (ie Ancestors) one can easily trace the Famly Line back from Maren Larsdatter.

Doing the same thing from the page for Roald Amundsen allows you to compare the ancestors of both people

Persuant to Ruth Valle, she is recorded as having been married in 1911 at approximate age of approximately 20 years old. Not much time to get to know Roald before she was married.
