What information do you have about your father's siblings?

Re the 1910 census link posted, the father on your father's wedding certificate (I speculate) was Ludvig / Ludwig Andersen, the father in the 1910 census was named Ludvig Andersen, that's the connection, as far as it goes. Nils may not have been born by the time of the census in Norway in 1910 and so may not be searchable himself. However I looked through the 1910 / 1911 male baptisms in Grønland parish where this family lived in the 1910 census and didn't find his.

As far as you know your father continued to live in UK?

At Sjohistorie.no there is this Nils Andreassen
Nils Andreassen
Informasjonen om registrerte krigsseilere er ikke nødvendigvis fullstendig. Eksempelvis vil mønstringer og utmerkelser for enkelte sjøfolk bli registrert senere, ettersom nye kilder blir gjennomgått.
Født1mars1909 (born) 1 March 1909
Kjønn Mann
Nasjonalitet Norge
Bosted Rødsveien 2, Framnes pr. Sandefjord
Relasjon til fylke Vestfold
Flåtetilhørighet Norsk handelsflåte i nøytral fart 1939-1940
Uteflåten 1940-1945
Utenlandsk alliert marine 1939-1945
Utenlandsk handelsflåte 1939-1945
Har stillinger Matros (sailor)

I think this says that the registration of "war" sailors is not complete. This fellow stayed in England during the war and there are 7 mustering in records for him also at the site. It also says he went to New Zealand after the war.

This guy's baptism is #27 on the male top half of page, father is 2nd Styrmand Hans Andreasen:
SAKO, Sandefjord kirkebøker, F/Fa/L0005: Parish register (official) no. 5, 1906-1915, p. 30

Some supplementary information;

"Informasjonen om registrerte krigsseilere er ikke nødvendigvis..................."Information on the registration of war sailors is not necessarily correct, for example patterning and awards of some sailors are recorded later as new sources are reviewed.

Not an easy task with such limited information. No Nils Andersen born 1910 with a father named Ludwig in the 1910 Norwegian Census.

A long shot candidate born in 1909
A male born in 1909 having Nils in his name and a father with Ludvig in his name

Yngvar Nils Andreassen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Yngvar Nils Andreassen
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 9 sep 1909
Baptism Date: 31 okt 1909 (31 Oct 1909)
Baptism Place: Sarpsborg, Østfold, Norway
Father's Age: 1886
Mother's Age: 1889
Father: Nils Ludvig Andreassen
Mother: Hansine Petra Andersen
FHL Film Number: 1259715
Reference ID: 3-124-135

Father is listed as a seaman in the original baptism record

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb20060320030158

The family in the 1910 Norwegian Census. Last three at bottom of the page.

http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste_e.aspx?ft=1910&knr=0102&kenr=007a&bnr=0010&lnr=04

You do not have a lot of candidates to chose from. Ludvig is more common in Norway than is the Ludwig version. And Andreassen could easily become Anderson in an English speaking country.

Young Yngvar emigrated in 1924 at age 14. Document says he is going to New York Til Sine Forældre (to his parents)

https://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-gb/gen/vis/8/pe00000000560580

One arrival document shows him with a line drawn through his name and data but this document does not have the line. The document also says that he is living with his grandmother Maria Andersen in Sarpsborg. It also states that he is going to his mother Petra Olsen, 465 53rd St Brooklyn New York. So did his parents divorce?

Name: Yngvar Nils Anderson
Arrival Date: 12 Aug 1924
Birth Date: abt 1910
Birth Location: Nrw
Birth Location Other: sarpsborg
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Ethnicity/ Nationality: Scandinavian
Port of Departure: Gothenburg
Port of Arrival: New York, New York
Ship Name: Stockholm

Looks like his mother travelled to New York in 1915 to her husband and who is a sailor.

https://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-gb/gen/vis/8/pe00000001148081

Probably Petra Hansine before her marriage in 1900 Norwegian Census

http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste_e.aspx?ft=1900&knr=0102&kenr=004&bnr=0005&lnr=01

This is probably the marriage of Ludvig and Petrine, in 1909 before their Yngvere Nils was born.

Nils Ludvig Andreasen
in the Norway, Select Marriages, 1660-1926
Name: Nils Ludvig Andreasen
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Birth Date: 1886
Marriage Date: 16 mai 1909 (16 May 1909)
Marriage Place: Sarpsborg, Østfold, Norway
Father: Andreas Nilsen
Spouse: Hansine Petra Andersen
FHL Film Number: 1259715
Reference ID: item 3 p 257 19

As was stated in the baptism of Yngvere Nils, the father was a seaman. There are many records on Ancestry.com that are probably of him. Here is one of them.

Ludvig Andreasen
in the New York State, Passenger and Crew Lists, 1917-1965
Name: Ludvig Andreasen
Arrival Age: 39
Birth Date: abt 1886
Arrival Date: 19 Apr 1925
Arrival Place: New York, New York, USA
Ship Name: Anna
Port: New York
