| Can any one direct me to where I can find lists of seaman who died at sea on ships under the Norwegian flag. In particular I am interested in the SV Mai (formerly SV Dechmont). The Mai went missing at the end of 1912, never to be seen again. Where can I find a list of the 20 or so crew members who were aboard at the time? Thank you. |

| Thank you for that. Very interesting. The crew list covers the main 4/5 seaman. Is there any where I can find the rest? And is there somewhere i can look at seamen that died at sea in ships under the Norwegian flag. Thank you again. |

Only ship master Hans Olsen from Høyvaag, Mate G. J. Tønnesen from Kristiansand, Sail-maker N. Cher. Jacobsen from Arendal and Deck-boy Søren Eliassen from Høyvaag were Norwegians, the rest of the crew were Danes and Swedes .
Mai was a beautiful ship.

Probably cause of shipwreck; Stormy weather, Collision or sailed on an unknown ground. Case shelved.
Mai looks like Christian Radich

The list of 20 men captain and crew might be all there were on the Mai.
You can tell the approximate origins of each it's listed behind each name. Bahuslan is in Sweden, etc. |

Since you don't use the letters Æ.Ø.Å
- Kjøbenhavn is Copenhagen
- Båhuslen is Bohuslen
- Malmø is Malmø
- Helsingør is Helsingør
- Helsinborg is Helsingborg
- Ystad is Ystad
