I am seeking information on the fate of this man, my great-grandmother's brother. He was born 11 March 1862 on the family farm at Aase, Hamre parish, Hordaland. The 1891 census shows him a "lodger" on the Aase farm, unmarried, residing with sister and widowed mother.
The 1900 census includes a Kristian Aase, born 1862 Lindaas parish, residing at 31 Moehlenprisbakken, Bergen. Unmarried, occupation gaardmandssoen. Could be he...I think the Aase area was switched administratively from Hamre to Lindaas.
That is the last likely record I find. Any help appreciated.

Yes I believe this is he. [1] Can someone interpret the entries for cause of death and for family relationships? [2] Any information or speculation on what the "Rosenberg Asylum" might have been?

Thanks very much Einar. This may explain the unusual census entries for this man...never having a real occupation. Insanity appeared in his niece, also.
