I am looking for the birth and marriage record for Torborg Asbionsdatter.

She is listed as the mother of two children (both at Sokndal,Norway):
Andreas Berntsen b.22Sep1807 (bp.24th) https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/15865/161
Andreas Berntsen b.20Sep1811 (bp.29th) -my ancestor https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/15866/20
according to Norway Baptisms, 1634-1927 familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:V5M1-9H4 - FHL microfilm 948.31S3 V26H -I have not seen a primary records for this source

1833 Sokndal Parish records list her death as:
14Oct 19Oct Torborg Asbjornsdatter faderaardrinds? 63 aag Qvivaag
https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/1659/229

She is listed on the 1801 census at Toxen, Sokndal, Rogaland,Norway -(a few farms away from Qvivaag)
Torborg Asbiørnsdatter 30 unmarried maid
It looks like she is in the household of a sister, Guri (age 38)
https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/58347/39

I found a Guri Asbionsdatter bp.23Jun1765 -d/o Asbioren Larsen :Mÿstes in the Soknal parish records but am not sure if this is Torborg's sister.
https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/15865/19

BERENT TORKILDSEN :Qvivaag
bp.03Apr1743 Sokndal,Rogaland,Norway conf.1753[4] Sokndal,Rogaland,Norway m.(1) 18Dec1766 Gunnild Olsdatter (1721-15Mar1789 Sokndal,Norway) (2) 30May1789 Anne Larsdatter (b.1764-bur.02Mar1806 Qvivaag,Sokndal,Norway) at Sokndal,Rogaland,Norway (3) c1806 Torborg Asbjornsdatter (c1770-14Oct1833 Qvivaag,Sokndal,Norway) bur.07Dec1815 Sokndal,Rogaland,Norway

Thank you. Both those records are linked in my original post.
I'm only needing to find Torborg's birth and marriage records -neither of which I have been able to locate in the archive records.

The parents of Guri Asbjørnsdatter are Asbjørn Larsen and Guri Alfsdatter

Link

The only other children I have found for these parents is Gunvor born 1769 and Alv 1772

First record in 1769

Link

So the only thing to do is scroll though the parish records from this point forward lookin for Torborg.

I did not find her, and reached a male Alv baptism June 21, 1772

Link

Going further I find an Anna Marie baptism Oct 24, 1775.

Link

There is room for an Torborg in there but I have not found her.

Føderaadskvinde. Torborg was former owner of the farm with free supplies on the farm for the rest of her life even if the farm was sold

I, too, have found these records since the original post. Asbiorn & Guri were married 05Mar1761 and had
Lars (13Dec1761), Guri (23Jun1765), Gunvor (06Jul1769), Alv (03May1772) and Anna Maria (24Sep1775)

I have also found Guri's grand parents and great grandparents, but like you, can't find Torborg. Thank you for your contiuned help !!

Does that mean she may not have lived on the farm at the time of her death ??

Since she was described as "føderaadskvinde" in her death record, she was living there when she died. When a farm was passed along from the older generation (needing or wanting to retire), to others, the older people still needed a place to live and a means of sustenance. So the farm was passed along on condition that the older person would stay on - not as owner, but as a rent-free lodger who would be provided for. The older person "came with the farm," so to speak.

I do not understand where this information comes from. Where can I find the original record regarding Torborg being "born Asbiornsdatter Birth: 1769 Ytre Jendal, Bakke, Vest-Agder, Norge".

I have the baptismal record for Andreas and I don't see any mention of his mother's name. Am I misssing it ? (I don't speak norwegian so have been figuring a lot of this out by deductive reasoning)

I have also seen the record where Torborg was a sponsor for Anne Gurie. Not being familiar with norwegian records I am not sure of the significance of this record to my research.

Thank for your help !

Based on the information Peder posted, it appears that this would be a birth record for Torborg...

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/9407/184

If I'm reading it right, she is the daughter of Asbiorn Carlsen.
