Hello,
I am quite new to Norwegian Ancestry and therefore nor very skilled in finding anyone. I have managed to go as far as

- Ole Amundsen (Moen) born 1792 in Norderhovs, Buskerud, Norway, d. Apr 29, 1880 in Bancroft, Freeborn County, Minnesota, USA, his wife,
- Kari Larsdatter born 1798, Norway, died Dec 25, 1893, Bancroft, Freeborn County, Minnesota, USA (Daughter pf Lars Guttormsen Solum 1769-1808, and Kari Haraldsdatter 1769 -?)

I know they had one child for sure:
- Gulbrand (Gilbert) Oleson (Moen) born Dec 7, 1844 in Ringerike, Buskerud, Norway, died Jul 27 1909, Outlook, Saskatchewan, Canada, he married
- Anne Hansdatter (Hanson) born Dec 27 1850 in Tomt, Naes Parish, Gran, Norway, died Aug 1, 1912 in Outlook, SK, Canda (Daughter of Hans Hanson 1827 - 1912, and Kari Olsdatter Kvenvold 1829 - 1916).

I belive Ole's parents might have been Amund Knudsen (1756 - 1800), and Kristie Knudsdatter (1760 - ?). I have no prof of it so I am not 100% sure. I also have no one further than that.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me out with finding some more ancestors of Ole and maybe the rest of his children. Or maybe someone has them in their tree as well and would be willing to share some of their knowledge and findings.

Thank you,
W.W.

I'd suggest that you search for the actual records on the births and baptisms of the siblings in this family as necessary for practice. The records are not as nice in the 1700s where you want to go. Here is the list of the Norderhov books:

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb/browse?clerical_parishes%5B%5D=0613P&start_year=&end_year=&text=

One thing you are hoping for is to pick up all the faddernes (witnesses or godparents) as these are often relatives and neighbors. Another thing you want to find is the names of the farms they were living when each of the children are born. The next set of records you want to find are the confirmation records, usually about 15 years (but could be more or less depending on the pastor). If you don't find all the children in the confirmations, then you have to consider that maybe they died, then you go through the deaths.

These records are based on church functions Baptismal records usually have both birth information and baptismal information (only baptismal in earlier eras). Confirmation records usually have either age or birth information, parents names and farm names, except earlier records which have less. Marriage records after a certain point contain father's names (1825 is too early for that in this parish) and some birth information such as age and names of bondsmen / witnesses / bestmen. Moving from the parish records can contain age, name, farm of residence and destination usually by parish if within Norway, but name of country if outside. Vaccination against small pox was required after the Swedes took over in 1814 and parishes began keeping those records. You will find them up until the 1860s in this parish and in later years as part of the confirmation record.

Sometimes using Ancestry.com can take the family back further. Here is the Ancestry record for the baptism of Ole Amundsen.

Ole Amundsen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Ole Amundsen
Gender: Male
Baptism Date: 2 des 1792 (2 Dec 1792)
Baptism Place: Norderhov,Buskerud,Norway
Father: Amund Knudsen
Mother: Kirsti Knudsdr
FHL Film Number: 124052

Knowing the baptism date allows you to find the original record in the parish records. You are far enough back in the records so you are forced to use the chronological records ie all of them lumped together. So here is the original record for Ole. On the left page fourth record down from the top.

Here is the marriage record for Amund Knucxdn and Kersti (also spelled Chirsti)

Amund Knudsen
in the Norway, Select Marriages, 1660-1926
Name: Amund Knudsen
Gender: Male
Marriage Date: 1 jan 1785
Marriage Place: Norderhov,Buskerud,Norway
Spouse: Chirsti Knudsdr
FHL Film Number: 124052

From the original records you can find that Amund and Kirsti were engaged (trolovede} on October 30th 1784.

On the right hand page see the fourth record from the top.

The marriage record is on Jan 1, 1785. See right hand page first record from the top. copulerde

Looks like Amund and Kirsti had a son Knud just before they were married.

Knud Amundsen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Knud Amundsen
Gender: Male
Baptism Date: 26 sep 1784
Baptism Place: Norderhov,Buskerud,Norway
Father: Amun Knudsen
Mother: Chirsti Knudsdr
FHL Film Number: 124052

The original baptism record for him is on the right hand page, third record from the bottom.

Link

He is not found in the 1801 Census with his mother and siblings as posted above by jkmarler as he is old enough to be out on his own.

Gender: Female
Baptism Date: 22 mar 1760

I have now. it reads "Passsager liste ? 1868 Hansen Master No 60" Scribbled so the ? mark could be Fauna or Anna. So leads me to the conclusion that I posted the names from the ship Anna Delius but named Bravo by the transcriber.

The Ancestry record assigns 611 passengers to the Bravo for arrival June 1868. The Norway Heritage list has only 216 names as passengers.

So an error transcribing the passenger lists was made.

Good work on your part to sort it out
