From the MyHeritage site

Lars Ansteensen Snarud
1755

first wife was Ane Pedersdatter Frøberg 1752

second wife was Karen Anstensdatter Snarud 1747

All of the children are listed with Karen as the mother

Aletta 1784
Marta 1788
Anie 1791

The mother of Lars Anstensen Snarud is listed as Anne Olsdatter no father is listed.

Data from above all fits the NHDC Census you linked to earlier. Here it is again

1801 Snarud

The MyHeritage site is missing this child

Name: Anders Larsen
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 6 aug 1786
Baptism Place: Vang , Hedmark, Norway
Father: Lars Snarudeje
Mother: Karen Anstensdr

You have a tough task to sort out the right parents I will grant you. Did we miss or did I just forget the fact that this Anders Larsen born in 1786 has these parents.

Anders Larsen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Anders Larsen
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 15 mar 1786
Baptism Place: Vang , Hedmark, Norway
Father: Lars Halsaeteje
Mother: Lisbet Andersdr
FHL Film Number: 124475

And the family is on Halseth in the 1801 Census, Parents are Lars Gulbrandsen and Sedsel Larsdatter.

1801 Halseth

I am leaning toward the Snarud family as the correct ancestors in your family.

Thank you Anton. You are correct that it is a hard choice between the two
Anders. I haven't given up on Anders Larsen Halseth as there is compelling
evidence for him also. I will just sit back and ponder this some more.again
thank you.

Missing the first one Anders Jensen Frebergi eier. And I think its Ole Jensen Grinager instead of Ole Andersen Grinager.

From a modern map Frøberg, Halset, Arnkvern, Grindåker are farms very near Snarud.

jkmarler thank you, the missing witness is indeed Anders Jensen Frøberg
I am not sure on which Ole but we have two birth records. He was first
listed as Paavel ( Danish name ? )

Paavel record #15

A resolved attachment changed his name to Poul below #15

The same witness but in different order. But we do have another farm
in the mix that ties to the Snarud farm.

Thanks howerver I see no Lisbet Andersdatter with a husband Lars who are
listed as parents Anders Larsen.in 1801 Halseth

I think the family has moved to the Grinager farm by 1801, I also think the
Lars Halseth is actually Lars Larssen. Here is the family in 1801

It is now starting to look like Anders Larsen born on Halseth farm is probably
the right one as his parents show up as witness for 3 of Anders and Sidsel
children

I have been trying to eliminate either of the two Anders Larsen. I have checked
death records between 1786 and time of marriage in 1812.
Hoping to come up with possible information I checked confirmation records
Vang/Furnes parish and come up with a blank page for 1802. I don't see either before or after.

Not sure it is worth much since there is only a very small amount of information. But here is likely the marriage of Lars Larsen and Lisbet Andersdatter in 1782.

Link

Original record is 20 Aug right hand page. A little odd that there are no other people or farm name mentioned

8-20-1782

If all goes well, there will be Anders Larsen (with birth years between 1760-1799) who married and died in Vang over a number of years:

Thanks Anton it is still good information as it supplies the last name Larsen
to the husband of Lisbet Andersdatter.

and look for ties to the different farm names
