So maybe, that’s why Johan changed his surname of Ekerot, back to his grandfathers surname of Palmstrom. Embarrassed by his step-fathers loss of such wealth. Just maybe.

Well digging into the Palmstrøm website further, the conjecture that Gunilla married a Avildsson after the death of Jonas is disputed. And this is stated.

That Jonas Palmström's widow remarried with an Arwidsson is wrong. Gunnilla remarried with the corporal # 388 Johan Peter Ekerot, in August 1762, and moved with him to the corporal courtyard Båleröd, in Tanum's parish.

Yes her grand daughter ( Anna Lovisa’s daughter ) married an Arwidsson, not Gunnilla. Thx

Anna Lovisa gets three daughters in her marriage; mid daughter # 235 Christina Olsdotter married on January 7, 1813 with # 257 Anders Arvidsson (1783-1833).

Can anyone find the parents of the below 2 women?

1: Elizabeth Marie Larsdatter Thomassen
B: 28 Mar 1808 Arendal, Aust-Agder, Norway
D: 25 May 1901 Arendal, Aust-Agder, Norway.
Married a Peter Andreas Palmstrom in 1829.

&

2: Marie Cathrine Staal / Stol
B: abt 1779
D: 1 May 1809 Kristiansand, Vest-Agder, Norway.
Married a Johan Peter Palmstrøm in about 1800 - 1802.

Thx and it would be greatly appreciated. If this is not the appropriate spot to ask, what is the best website to search please. I’ve tried for ages on Ancestry.com and FamilySearch websites.

You give only an approximate year and no location whatsoever. If you've already searched Ancestry and FamilySearch then I see no point in doing that again. I don't have time to search for that with so little info to start with.
I suggest you do. You could start with the only location mentioned in your posting...

Trying to find the parents of Marie Catherine Staal is a bit difficult. Back somewhere in the threads I posted a link to Marie Catherine in the 1801 Census. She was living with her brother Peder Pedersen Staal in Kristiansand at the time.

1801

The brother does leave quite a trail in the parish records for Kristiansand. He married a Marthe Abrahamsdatter in 1803.

Link

They have several children together in Kristiansand, but one in particular caught my eye since one of the witnesses was a Johan Palmstrøm. Also witness was Maria, Johan Palmstrøm's ?

Niels born Feb 7, 1804. Baptized Feb 12. First record right hand page

Link

One of the other witnesses is a Severine Chritisansdatter. Probably Severine Christiansdatter Wiborg. Probably the daughter of f Christen Thomassen Wiborg .

1801

I don't know Swedish much, so here are some helps:

https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Sweden_Occupations

https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Sweden_Abbreviations_in_Family_History_Sources

https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Sweden_Names,_Personal

It might not even be an abbreviation of the man's first name.

The only two swedish first names that might fit are Brent and Brynte. But Jackie may be more correct and it is a part of the occupation of the Palmstrom father to Johan Peter. A guess for the rest ,the mother is introduced in this document and is named Maja Caisa Loofgren (Löfgren) and she is 24 years old. So maybe born around 1753.
