In 1639 my relative Sjur in Litloksa, Hordaland paid a fine...av di han hadde kalla Eirik "en udyd" pċ grunn av "en hage" det er vel eit utmarkstykke dei har tretta om.

Cannot find a translation to english of udyd; please tell me what the issue was.

………..paid a fine …….because he had called Eirik "en udyd" (a person with unseemly behavior) because of "en hage" (a garden), motst likely a piece of land (in the outfield) they had quarreled about

"en udyd" (a person with unseemly behavior)

Seems like a useful phrase, I hope to use it on a regular basis.
