Hello again,
Trying to find more information on another relative.
Peder Andreas Johnson born 10-25-1856, died 1928 Cumberland WI.
Records say he was born in Hattfjelldal, Nordland, Norge, Norway.

I am conducting a name search on roots.web but there are so many results.

This is super great information.
I'm sad i can't translate some of the data.
I have access to the websites but can't understand the findings.

I saw he emmigrated in 1884. I wonder what ship?

Beyond the dates of birth, baptism, confirmation, marriage - how does one find personal details about ancestors from norway? Diaries? Newspaper articles?

I see that the father and grandfather of Ane Petrina were born in Sweden.

Ancestry.com pops up a lot of "Suggested Records" for Nils Nilssen the father of Ane Petina.

You will need to check them out to see that they are correct but they should allow you to follow that side of the family in Norway and maybe in Swede as well.

I'm planning on visiting Norway June of 2021. I want to be able to see farms, cemetaries of family, churches, etc. I hope to hire someone to take me around.

I really really want to know the personal information of my ancestors. All i have so far is timeline stuff.

It took a little searching to find the baptism of Peter Andreas Johnson as he was not baptized until July of 1857.

Also he was baptized as Per Andreas.

Number 111

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20050428030454

His wife Anne Petrine was born 26 Sept 1856 and baptized also in 1857.

Nr. 100

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20050428030454

Interesting that their baptism records are on the same page of the parish records.
