Osten Hans Hansen was born at the Hagen farm 26 January, 1875. I think his parents were Hans Olsen Hagen and Lisbet Ostensdatter. He was baptized at the Tinn Lutheran Church 26 June, 1875. I am interested in his parents. Did they go to America? Did they have other children? Who were their parents? Were they husmanandfolk?

| Clarification. In the Baptism record for Østen Hans Hagen, Tinn, Telemark, his mother is noted as Lisbet Østensdatter. then the word Zimmondfolk. Suggest it should be Huusmandsfolk, a cottager, teneant farmer..the family were husmand folks. The old gothic script most likely written by a Danish pastor was transcribed incorrect. Any one agree? Might this be corrected? Takk! |
