hello looking for some history of,Johannes Matiassen ,born in norway in 1881.30.12 hedemark county,ringsaker,He was son of Matias Arnesen and wife Ingeborg pedersdatter,Johannes matiassen emigrated to illinois in usa 1901,05.01In 1931 he was back in norway,married and get four children.Then he get divorsed and in 1964 he was dead,his grandchild is intresting to now if he had familie in usa,if he was married or had children over there,so if somone can help find,some thing its very kind of you,He used name John Mathisen in usa

This is most likely your guy applying for a passport in 1922, he has the same father and the same birthdate year is 1882 instead of 1881 image of 1st page. There is also a picture of him on the second page:

On his naturalization in 1910 there appears a witness named Peter Mathison, is he a relative?

Here is his arrival in Boston, Massachusetts. Johannes thinks in 1922 that his arrival was in New York and he may have gotten off the boat then but in US passenger lists are filed at the first port of call not necessarily where any individual passenger got off. He is headed to his brother Chr. Mathison who is at Evanston, Illinois:

Probably the emigration record for him in 1901, although the leaving date does not match the OP's date?

Kristian Mathisen of Ringsaker left Norway in 1896 for Evanston, Illinois.
