Good find Jane ! So do you think the Neilsen family above that immigrated 1853 are her family ? Wouldn't be unusual for dates to be inaccurate.

No. But could be. She's an interesting candidate and worth checking out. A caution: there are other people of that name and age in the USA who came from Norway. Need to connect the dots with sources.

Archives.com has ELCA birth and baptism records. (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)
One goal is to find baptism records of Andrew and Sarah children and see who are the baptismal witnesses / godparents to the children.
Another goal, find Sarah Nelson in the USA in 1860.
Another goal, find that Nielsen Boe family in the USA in 1860.

Who are the witnesses to the 1865 marriage? Please type up that record, and post it, okay? So cool that you got that.

Birth months may help identify the Nielsen Boe family in the USA, as 1900 census tells the birth month of a person. Below, some of this data from Family Search, some from unsourced family tree.

Jørgen Nilsen Bøe born 29 JAN 1812
Dorthe Knudsdatter born 16 Jan 1813
Anna Maria born 4 Mar 1838 in Tordal, Telemark
Siri Johanne born 19 Sep 1839
Anne Jørgine born 30 July 1841
Niels born 17 Dec 1843 (as previously posted)
Knud born 24 May 1846 (as previously posted)
Mariken Christine born 04 May 1849
Tone Jorgine born 24 Apr 1851
Family Search birth dates:

That was my thought too ...but the marriage certificate had no family names as witnesses. I'll try to post it.

I am not having much luck finding Sarah in 1860 or the Nielsen Boe family in 1860.... If we can find those Nielsen Boe's clustered around her geographically that would help.

Sarah's burial place, Fairview Cemetery, Cambridge, Furnas County, Nebraska
1904

Your Sarah has a son George, and George is an Angliciation for Jorgen.

I'll have to run soon....

I could send you the marriage certificate in an email but the only witness is the county clerk of Boone County and a signature of the minister who performed the marriage.

The signature of the minister could be a breakthrough piece (leading to church name and membership; her family might be members). Thanks!

The parents of Siri Johanne (=Sarah Annah), Jørgen Nilsen and Dorthe Knudsdatter, were married June 19 1837, #3.

The baptismal record for Siri Johanne is #19.

- the daughter Thone Jørgine is not included in the listing of children either - but it says "1 til" (one more - whoever that might be).

Conclusion: The owner of the tree needs to do an update.

Thanks Einar. I've still not been able to link Siri Johannes Jorgensdatter to be Sarah Hannah Nelson in America. I'm unable to find anything on this family in America Census reports to date. I did find her on Ancestry.Com on another persons family tree and have asked them for any further information. Thank you for the information that you have included.
