Yes, I realize.
Haven't found Carl C Jensen and Jenny C Johnson as a married couple in 1900.
HOGDON family tree on Ancestry for Sophie Datz (1885- ?) and Eddie Datz (1880-1959).
Quite a bit of info on the Datz side; none on the Johnson side.
1900 US Census says Peter O Johnson born March 1851 Norway. Marriage to Caroline Sophie Larsen says his father is Johan Christiansen. So here's a candidate for birth of Peter Oluf Johansen 15 Mar 1851 with parents Johan Christiansen and Anne Marie Petersdatter.

Since Sophie was so young in Norway, perhaps she was baptized there in Drammen?
An extreme long shot from the ELCA database Sophie Johnson b. 30 Apr 1885 was confirmed 29 Apr 1900 in a Chicago church not identified by name just as an "American Lutheran" church. Parents are not named in the record, information is only as given here.
For the younger Amy Johnson a possible in ELCA database: Amy Josephine Johnson, no age given confirmed 26 May 1904, living at 581 Evergreen Avenue. Again no church named and location is given as Cook or Dupage, Illinois. |

I haven't been able to find her baptized in Drammen at her home chuch. If she was baptized in Oslo it will take some time.Have to find were her father in law lived if she stayed therefor a while.

Thanks Jackie. Fred Theorell got missed - his Jennie is Swedish.
I have been deleting my lists of names as you strikethrough - no point in redundancy.
Many hands make light work - if anyone additional has time to check out a handful of names on Jackie's list (page 6), that would be great. We both expressed earlier this process of eliminations would be a painful task, most especially because it is mind- numbingly boring! But not difficult... |

| We can look into it (I cannot help today or next few days, though). It's possible Jenny later lived in a place like Ishpeming, but the location makes it a little unlikely. This would be somewhat like moving from Bergen to a small village in the far north of Norway. In this era the usual trend was to move away from farms and small villages and move into big cities, rather than the other way around. (Of course some individuals don't follow the usual trend!) Also, if she remarried and had a child, wouldn't she write home? |
