I am trying to find the death record for Jacob Olsen (Objorden?). I believe he died 31 Aug 1829 in Sandsaever, Buskerud possibly in Hedenstad . Believe he was born 18 Dec 1757 and was married 20 Aug 1786 to Anne Margrete Olsdatter(Goterud) The death record I found lists his age as 74 but if I use his birth date and death date he was 72.

Have not found the actual record of birth yet. Would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks

Listed as 74 1/6 y.o., which indicates born June 1755, but that isn't always accurate.

Not sure who you are looking for, but it seems this Jacob Olsen lived on Mellom Mørk farm, and was according to some genealogy pages the son of Ole Gulbrandsen Sørby og Marie Jakobsdatter and married to Anne Margrethe Olsdatter.

The confirmation record for Jakob Olsen, Sørbye, 16 years old in 1771, see 9th record on right page.

The confirmation record for Jacob Olsen, Opjorde, 15 years old in 1772, see 4th rceord on right page.

Correct name of the farm name is Opjorden, todays Oppjorda

Jacob was bapt. 3. Sunday in Advent (Nov. 12. 1757) in Efteløt church.
Father; Ole Torsen Opjorden, left page ca half Down under Efteløt link

Mother was Anne Sofie Jacobsdatter Usler.

Ole Torsen, Ristvet and Anne Sophie Jacobsdatter were married Sept 20 1750, see 4th record on left page.

Their first child was Ingeborg, bapt Jan 10 1751, see 6th record on left page.

Einar - you have listed 2 Jacob Olssen's in these posts. They seem to be the same person but one is married and one is not in the 1801 census. If they are not the same who is the one that is not married?
