Can someone tell me what the first entry in this record on right side says? I am looking for the birth record of Anne Jacobsdatter who was born in 1789 to Jacob Olsen Opjorde and Anne Margrete Olsdatter Liøterud.

Source information: Buskerud county, Sandsvær, Parish register (official) nr. 2 (1725-1809), Birth and baptism records 1789, page 331.

My opinion is that the patronymic starts with an X so is likely an abbreviation for Christianson or Christofferson and not Olson.

I am not totally sure but I think that your suggestion is a possible match for your Anne. . It reads a little oddly for a baptism but looks to my eyes as if it starts out with Jacob Olsen Opjorden with daughter Anne. then covers the witnesses. Might be worth a second look for the Norwegian on this site.

Looks like July 26, 1789

It seems that they used the same style in the record for the baptism of Anne's brother Thor. See the third entry for May 27, 1792 Where the record starts out with the father as Jacob Olsen Mork and then names the child as Thor?. It does not look like the mother is mentioned.

This one is a little easier to read but has the same format. Starts out with the fathers name Jacob Olsen Mork datter Ingeborg Sophia. Following is a list of the witnesses and no sign of the mothers name. See the next to last name on the right hand page.

This looks like the family in 1801 Census. It might be possible to find the other children to see if the same format holds for them.

This looks like the baptism record for the daughter Ingeri. See the first entry on the left page. Starts out as the others did with Jacob Mork datter Ingeri then rolls right into the sponsers name. I can not see anywhere the mother is mentioned.

See top entry left hand page.
