thanks folks for the translation - its opened up some questions there, we'll have to work out which of their 2 daughters died (Ragna Christine Andersen or Borghild Andersen) and which married and went to Denmark (we know their son Adolf was a military officer, at this time Oscar was in New York, USA - in 1926 joined by Johan and his wife Olga :)

we know Oscar had a daughter Borghild (sometimes listed as Linda, who married a Martin Gjerde (1899-1989) she disappears from view in 1992, in Minnesota, USA, had always wondered if they had kids as chances are if they did then they'd still be alive :)

(id actually gone looking for the brother Soren when i stumbled across this one :)

Not sure about this, the name appears to be widow Baldine Andersen who has two children in US. Maybe this one in 1910 census (though age appears off):

you're absolutely right, also now that i look at the date also and see 80 and a half, our Bredine would've been just over 80 at this time - back to the hunt I go :)

just found this:
http://arkivverket.no/URN:sk_read/27271/3/?size=full&mode=0
Andersen, Borghild, Pige (Maiden)
our Borghild was born 5 Aug 1888, Kristiana - so the age fits...once again i'm not sure on the translation though

had a look and didn't see any Ragna Christine Andersen deaths between the 1910 census and 1919 when their father died, so i'm picking she's the one that went to Denmark :

also just found this one (skipping back some generations though)...if someone could translate that too, it'd be brilliant :)
50 ???? Soren Andersen 76 years - ??? ???
