HI again,
Looking for another individual.
I have her date of birth approx 1762-1765. She married my 4th great grandfather Engebret Jacobsen Vansum, and they lived on the Baarli farm. My 3rd great grandfather was Jacob Embretsen(Engebretsen) and I believe additional children are: Børger Embrethsen , Jacob Embrethsen, Ole Embrethsen, Anders Embrethsen, Mari Embrethsdatter.
I am looking for family information on Sidsel, who her mother and father were, her exact birthday, etc. Im trying to find where she came from.
Any help is appreciated :)

Check out this web Family Tree. No sources listed but father and mother of Jacob are listed as well as approx dates and places. That might help you find the originals in Digitalarkivet.
The data seems to come from a Millenium File found on Ancrstry.com from an LDS member

You probably need to go to either the Eidsvold or Nes Bygdebok to get a definitive answer on the parents of Engebret or Sidsel since the church books for Eidsvold were destroyed in a fire.. There are several books for both of the locations.

Here is Jacob and parents in the 1801 Norwegian Census in Eidsvoll.

Embrecht is listed as having been born in 1755 no location given.
That year is quite different than the 1749 given in the Ancestry.com Millenium File!. Is it possible that due to the lack of Eidsvold church records the various Family Trees have dragged in someone from Nes and made him the husband of Sidsel.
Sidsel born in 1765 according to the Census. Not an easy find. Have you tried the Bygdebøker for either New or Eidsvold. |

This family is from Eidsvoll.
Eidsvoll 1801
Farm Barlidahlen saw and mill farm, Sidsel is nr 042
The church books from Eidsvoll from 1681-1877 were lost in a fire.
Jan. 9. 1877
Embret Jacobsen was cottager with land and miller.

Following up on the comments by Kåre. Amy, I think that your Embreth Jacobsen found in the 1801 Census married to Sidsel Oldatter is not the same person as Engebret Jacobsen born 1849 in Nes. I have looked at the Bygdbok pages for both Nes and Eidsvoll. The Nes Bygdebok has the family associated with Vansum, Nes and the book does have Engebret. He is listed there as Embret 1749 - 1767, Meaning he died in 1767 and thus cannot be the same person as the one found in the 1801 Census and married to Sidsel Olsdatter.
The Bygdebok for Eidsvoll does have a short section on Nedre Bårli with the family of Embret Jacobsen d 1825, 70 år, and Sidsel Olsdatter d 1846 84 år. Embret is lsited as møller and husm. i 1801. Five children are also listed.
Without the church records for Eidsvoll it is probably going to be extremely difficult to find the origins of either Embret or Sidsel.
