I wonder if you have followed up on the Bygdebok look up. The Archivist at the University of North Dakota is willing to do some searching. You can contact him at michael.swanson@library.UND.edu. You will need to guide him as much as you can but he is quite good at searching Bygdebok material. There is a fee but I have always found it to be quite reasonable. Here is what they have to work with. I see they are missing one volume.

Unneberg, S.H. Hof bygdebok, v. 1A 1964 DL596.H66 U5 Farms Hof parish (part); Lacking v. 2 of this series
Unneberg, S.H. Hof bygdebok, v. 1B 1964 DL596.H66 U5 Farms Hof parish (part) & Vassås parish

One thing I did find a little odd in the family of Knud and Ane Syrine is that the two boys that I think are the first two boys were not named in the usual Norwegian naming pattern after their grandfathers. Instead of being named Anders and Halvor they were named Jørgen and Peder. I do not know what that means if anything but I did find it a little unusual . Corrected by Einar below at least on Anders. And the Halvor part could be taken care of in the first marriage with the birth of Halvor

Halvor

Anders

Jørgen

Marte

Peder

One thing that is useful in guiding the search by UND of the Hof Bygdebok is some farm names. You can get some of those from the 1801 Census and baptism records. Also I see that a set of witnesses that appear in two of the baptisms are Lars Jørgensen and Magnilde Evensdatter. They may be husband and wife and they may be this couple from the 1801 Census.

Thank you Einar, I added Anders to my above posting. I see that two of the witnesses for the baptism are named Ane Halvorsdatter and Hans Halvorsen. Perhaps a connection with the parent of Ane Syrine?

There are two Hans Halvorsens in the 1801 Census. This one is interesting since it is likely his father is included in the census.

Thank you for this additional information. I did not realize it was there as my screen was not advancing to page 2 so these posts were not showing. I started another post regarding Knud not having yet seen these posts sorry if that is inconvenient. Also thanks for the insight on the naming after grandfathers as it adds to my understanding.

Do us a favor and delete your other post. Here is your question I have transferred to this post.

This is from a prior post.
If I understand correctly, this bygdebok is not available online.
what is this place : Søndre Fogstadplassen and is there a parish register that a record for this approximate 1752 birth would be found ?

Søndre Fogstad is a farm in Hof parish. It and its inhabitants can be found in the 1801 Census. Søndre Fogstadplassen could very well be a husmanns place on the larger Søndre Fogstad. Here is a link to the 1801 Census of Søndre Fogstd.

1801

Click on Open Search Form and enter Søndre Fogstad in the box labeled Residence and click Search

If Ane Syrine or her husband are occupying a husmansplass i.e. they are a tenant farmer renting the land, it may be difficult to find information on them in a Bygdebok. Depending on the degree of detail that the Bygdebok goes into on a specific farm the author may or may not cover the inhabitants of a husmansplass i.e. tenant farm.
