Hello;
I'm looking for any information on - Thor Jonsen & his brother Ole Jonsen (Stokke).

Thor Johansen/Thore Jonsen
21 Aug 1815 ....Born
3 Sept 1815 .....Christening - Sor Fron, Opland, Norway
(baptismal record: Haavstuen is mentioned after his father name; I assume this is were they were living, name of a farm).
Spouse :?
Children: ?
Died: Norway?
Burial: ?

Also his brother:
Ole Jonsen (Stokke) ? (I think he was born before: 1815).
resides in Trondheim; has several children.
Spouse: ?
Children: ?
Died: ?
Burial:?

Parents:
John Amundsen & Anne Thorsdr/Thorsdatter/Tordsdatter
(Anne born: 1787-1789?).
Married: 22 April, 1812...Sor Fron, Oppland, Norway

Joen/Johan & Anne were living at.......
In 1822 were at Haavstuen...
In 1826 family was living at Espedahlen....
Family moved from Parish to Inderoy Parish, Nord-Trondelag County, July 22, 1832.
In 1834 daughter Anna ,was born: Steinkjer.
In 1841 their son Johan, was confirmed: Bragstadplads....born in Gausdal parish in Gudbrandsdalen, Norway.
In 1856 their son (Knudt) drowned at Beitstadfjord.
In 1859 Anna imig to the U.S....along with her son Johan and his family....
Family lived on several farms: took the name of Johnson- Stokke-Stukey

Johan & Anne Children:
1. Ole Jonsen (Stokke)? resides in Trondheim - several children ( I have no information on him).
2. Thore Jonsen....who is mentioned above.
3. Knudt: Born: June 18, 1819 - 1856....who is mentioned above. (I have some info on him).
4. Jon Jonsen Born: 1826....who imig to the U.S (I have info on him).
5. Hans Jonsen Born: 1822 imig to the U.S...
6. Gunder Jonsen Born: Dec 1829
7. Anna Jonetta Jonsen Stokkee Born: March 1, 1834 Steinkjer....imig to the U.S...(I have info on her).

Any information on family would be great; as I also post info on ancestry and am trying to find family...........Thanks Jen in northern Wis.

The first Thor died young probably in 1816 see the second entry from the bottom left page

A second Thor for this same couple was then born on Sep 16, 1816.

Here is the family of Thore Johnson and Anna Pedersdatter and family in the 1865 Norwegian Census. It shows six children including Jorgine.

Likely that Jorgine Benedicte Thoresdatter married Petter Andreasen in 1871 in Sparbu, Nord-Trøndelag.

Here is her husband Petter Andreasen and his family on Brueim øvre in the 1865 Norwegian Census.

Petter and Jorgine had several children including Anna born in 1873. Farm name is Sem at that time.

Including Andreas born in 1881 who emigrated to America under Anders Sem.

And Peter Ingolf born in 1885 who also emigrated to America.

In the 1900 Norwegian Census Jorgine is living on Sem nedre probably with her second husband.

Jorgine and her second husband had at least one child Lovise born in 1889.

When you are looking at the digitized birth/baptismal record for Jorgine Benedicte Thoresdatter which was indexed to the FamilySearch.org website as in "Skei, Nord-Trondelag, Norway" you can get more detail than indexed there.
Click on the icon marked with the lower case letter i -- and listed under the heading Area will be more complete detail of where that record was created. You can then compare that to information you have about other families.

I think that Ole was born Sep 16, 1833 in Inderøy, Nord-Trøndelag.

As mentioned above several of the children of Petter Andreasen and Jorgine Thoresdatter emigrated to America.

Here is the emigration record for Andreas (Anders) who emigrated under the name Anders Pedersen Sem. to Fargo North Dakota in 1902.
