I am hunting info on Erik Olsen, Hejeren (or Hegeren) who left from Norderhov in 1880 bound for America.
He was born 1856, his parents were Ole Nilsen, Breilid and Christie Eriksdatter. |

Maybe a start. Birth year is off but arrival is 1880. Does his emigration record give any destination. Is he traveling with friends.?

The emigration record only states "America" and it seems like he is by himself leaving Norderhov.
Your find looks good - Hegeroth for Hegeren is a likely choice, thank you. |

I wonder if this might be the same guy in the 1930 Census, birth year and arrival year are similar to the person from 1900.

Erick Hagrud's obit is short:
"Death Natural
Death of Edward Hagrud, 76 Western Rooms, 15 Southwest Second Avenue was reported Monday to the Coroner's office. Death was due to natural causes. No relatives are known. Hagrud has been a resident of the city the last 32 years."

So if Edward Hagrud lived in Portland for 32 yeas he would have arrived about 1907. I guess he also could be the same guy as found in the 1900 US Census living in the state of Washington.
He should be findable in the 1910 US Census in Portland. Here is the closest I could find. One issue is that he is listed as married for 13 years although there is no wife listed with him in the census record.
