I am looking for some information on the parents of Kari Davidsdtr Mindre Sunde.
birth: about 1663

I think her father was David Haraldsson and her mother Ukjent Arnesdatter Mindresunde

I don't know if I am still in the correct ancestry line from here.

If I am on the right path, I find a number of options from David Haraldsson and I am having difficulty figuring out were to go from here.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Well I think you will need to use a Bygdebok when you are talking about 1663. Here is a Family Tree, the information from the tree is about the same as whet you have given but place names are given.

Gudahl / Sandbakken

And the Geni.com tree from your earlier posts

Geni.com

And from another tree with no more info than above.

Here is your earlier post on this site for reference.

Norway Heritage

And this information from a Bygdebok

Some light is shed on this Family Tree from the Bygdebok. by Jacob Aaland. It is not the easiest Bygdebok I have ever used but here is the Family Tree dug out of the Bolstad farm.

Family Information from Nordfjord frå gamle dagar til no, v. 3B Bygdebok
Gjeble Jørgensen Erdal, had son
Jørgen, b abt 1656, d 72 år g 1728, married
Kari Davidsdtr Mindre Sunde had son
Jørgen b abt 1693, d 72 år g 1765 married
Kristi Monsdtr. Floven b abt 1696, d 85 år g 1781, had son
Jørgen, b abt 1721, d 44 år g 1765, married
Synnøve Rasmusdatter Folven b abt 1746, d 69 år g 1815

Nordfjord fra#778; gamle dagar til no : med mange bilæte.
Jacob Aaland 1865-1950.
Nordfjordeidet : Brødrene Totland 1909]-<1974>
Available at TC Wilson Library General Collection (DL576.N6 A4
See volume B3

The Bygdebok puts the Kristi Monsdatter who died in 1781 as the wife of Jørgen Jørgensen who died in 1765.

And another of your posts on what seems to be the same family.

I wonder if you have used the Bygdebok reference above. If not I would recommend using the service of the Michael Swanson of the University of North Dakota. He can do some directed research in their extensive collection of Bygdebøker for a modest fee. I will send him off an email and see if there is any information in the Aaland Bygdebok on the parents of Kari Davidsdatter. If there is you can email him directly and obtain a scan of the relevant pages of the Bygdebok. Here is his email address

Jacob Aaland published some volumes on Nordfjord in the 1930s. They are available at nb.no for Norwegian IP-addresses. I found a paragraph on David Haraldsson and <unknown> Arnesdatter at Mindresunde in one of these books, but with no Kari listed among the children. Apparently new versions of some or all of these volumes were published in the 1970s, but these are not, as far as I can see, available at nb.no.

Update: The 1974 edition is in fact available at www.nb.no as well, and no Kari is mentioned as a daughter of David Haraldsson there either.

Here is a little section out of the newest of the Bygdebøker for Mindresunde. It appears to indcate that a David Haraldson married K ie wife a ? Arnesd, Just above this section is the name Arne Eiriksen b 1614. It is possible that he is the father of Kari Arnesdatter who married David Haraldson.

From a different family tree website that references this as the source "20 Jacob Aaland, Jacob Aaland: Innvik - Stryn, Solglimt trykkeri 1974."

This would appear to be another daughter of Arne Eirikson and Synnøve who are mentioned above as potential parents of ? Arnesdatter

Mother: Synneve (Abt 1580-After 1645) 20
