I am looking for information on Aletti or Aletta Haavie, (1839-1910) who came to the US in 1904 to live with her daughter and son in law in Lowell MA. Lived and married in Norway. She came to the US after her husband died.
I THINK her husband was Edvard Haavie.
She had two kids, Jan's Jacob and Anna.
I have good info on family and where she was in the states. But know next to nothing about Norway. Family? Location? Husband? Siblings?

Probably her in the 1900 Norwegian Census

She is traveling with her son, name here is Hans Jacob but probably the same as the Jacob in the 1900 Census.

Here is his baptism record. Parents are Johan Edvard Hansen and Alette Marie Jerksdatter. Born August 15, 1879 and baptized Jan 1, 1880.

She is living with her husband and parents in the 1865 Census. However her age is transcribed incorrectly and off by ten years. They are living on Haavi søndre at that time

Based on the above information I would say that this is the baptism of her father. Note the first name can be spelled a lot of ways, Hjerk, Jerk and here Gjerk.

According to the Ancestry.com data base Johan Edvard and Alette had these children. Ancestry does not always do a good job of assigning a last name to the child. That is they do not always use the name of the father plus son or sen.

According to the Ancestry.com data base Rasmus Havii or Haviid or Haavid had several children. Here is a list of the ones I found.
Rasmus Jerksen Haavid was married in 1785 in Hobøl to Aase Andersdatter Haavid.
His first wife Aase Andersdatter Haavid died in Hobøl at 41 years old on 8/7-1792.

You did not ask about her husband but here is some information about him. In the marriage record for Alette he is listed with the farm name Lie and his father is given as Hans Engebretsen. This is likely the father of Johan Edvard with wife and children on the Lie farm in the 1865 Census. The farm is also in Hobøl,

Going back to the ancestors of Johan Edvard Hansen. In the baptism record his father is listed as Hans Ingebretsen Lie; In the 1865 Census there is a Hans Engebretsen born about 1808 living on Lie. His wife is dead by then. He is listed as having been born in Borre, Vestfold. Here is a candidate for this person.

So looking for a Ingbret Olsen in the 1801 Census for Borre, Vestland only turns up one candidate that has a birth year that fits and he is married to Birthe Ouensdatter.

They are living on the farm named Aasgaarden. And in the same list is the likely parents of Birthe a Ougen Iverssen and hs wife Kiellau Ellevsdatter.
