In 1976 Odd Willy Eikeland married Evelyn Alequin in Staten Island New York.

lyndal40- thank you so much. Now I think I have the information needed to search here in Norway. Some sources could give some answers.
ToreL-This is a tricky situation. I'm helping a friend to find out if there is a connection to this family, so I couldn't just get in contact.

No, very little information on the record. However there is a record for a Willy Eikeland born abbot 1953, who graduated from Port Richmond High School, Staten Island, New York, USA.

Willy Eikeland
in the U.S., School Yearbooks, 1900-1999
Name: Willy Eikeland
Estimated Age: 16
Birth Year: abt 1953
Yearbook Date: 1969
School: Port Richmond High School
School Location: Staten Island, New York, USA

There is no record of a Evelyn Alequin graduating from the same school however. Perhaps she and her parents Victor and Enedia Alequin came to Staten Island in between 1969 and the marriage in 1976.

I find exactly one public tree on Ancestry containing Oddvin Eikeland, and it is managed by Clarice Eikeland. It seems logical to contact her...
