If anyone can get anything more out of this probate I would appreciate it. The name is Kirsten Taraldsdatter. It is scrunched into the lower right corner of the 1st page. I picked out the name of her husband : Niels Terjesen, but can't decipher where he was from (farm name). Says she had two daughters and a son, but I can't find their names. Benjamin and Christen Andersen are mentioned, not sure what for?

I have a question - In the Hallingdal area (Aal, Hol, Gol, Nesbyn Flaa, and Hemsdal) is there a place called Bakkegaard? I have a Guri Julia Bakkegard Syverson that I am checking on. She is buried in our cemetery and was my great great aunt. I think when she came here and married - her name changed from Guri to Julia, her father was Syversson and they took the Syverson for last name and I am guessing that Bakkegaard is the farm they came from. Can someone help with this? Many thanks and this site is the greatest!

You mention no vital dates for this Guri? To do so would GREATLY improve the query. Yes, there are farms by that and very similar names in the Hallingdal, Buskerud area. Try this one.
