| jwiborg | The first list talks about "Over Schiens Borger Compagnie i Aaret 1788." It's a list of citizens from Skien who have joined the Skien borgerkorps, ("citizen corps").
The corps was mainly for military reasons [local city army], but the page says that they also got together and saluted with banner and music if a high ranked person came to the city.
It says that in 1801, the corps has not met for military training in 13 years.
The list from 1804 talks about some additional watchman taxes the inhabitants of Skien had to pay for the period "1804 8br 1st until ultm Martj 1805". 8br means VIII br, ie. october, so the time period is 01-oct-1804 - 31-mar-1805, ie 6 months.
Mr. Watner paid 1 Rdr ("Riksdaler", old danish/norwegian currency) .
