chris	I was curious if the Skien Borgerkorps ever participated in any battles or wars in the 1700 or 1800's? Thanks
Borge	As far as I know a "Borgerkorps" was a defense force for the town. Most towns in Norway had them, and the citizens had to pay for their uniforms and weapons. Every once a year, or sometimes more often, they would have a drill. Forces like this would only be engaged if their town was under attack. As for as I know, there were no such attacks on Skien, but there was mobilization in 1801 in fear of attacks.
