Ship named Sedvich
Brining	My Great Grandmother Marie Larsdtr emigrated to the US in 1876. I have found her leaving Trondheim on May 11 1876 on the ship the Tasso. Written family history says that "It took 3 weeks to come across the ocean on the boat Sedvich". I can not find any referance to a Sedvich in the on line sources. Do you know of any ship with this name or close to it. It's destination would have been New York. Thanks Carla
Borge	Hello Carla From what I find in the Digitalarkivet, Marie crossed the Atlantic on a ship belonging to the Anchor Line. (probably from Glasgow to New York) I think the name you have on the ship must be wrong, as the Anchor Line to my knowledge did not own any ships by that name, or by other names which comes close. Brining	Thanks Borge, I kind of figured the ships name was an American interpretatation of a Norwegian pronucitation of the name so it could be almost anything but at least I now know what line she would have been on. Thanks again Carla
