| tomo150 | I am looking for information regarding my great grandfather who is believed to have been born in 1854. Legend says that he was a Norwegian sailor who 'jumped ship' in Australia - probably in Melbourne or Portland. It is also thought his father was Thomas Thompson.
Any information re a Thompson family in Norway would be appreciated. |

Thank you for your interest, but unfortunately I just haven't been able to find anything. I have checked 'deserters' in Australia without success. I would appreciate any assistance or advice you could provide.
