searching the Norwegian 1865-census, there is nobody by the Lastname of Glimme.
But there is a farm called Glimme, in Voss parish, Hordaland county.
And on that farm, there is a son called [url="http://129.177.171.80/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=f61235&variabel=0&postnr=4967&fulle=true&spraak=e"]Ammund[/url] ! [:)]
This Ammund is born ca. 1850 (+- 1 year), and his Lastname in the census is Knudsen, which mean "Son of Knud". His father Knud Rognaldsen owns the farm.
The closest emigration port for people in the Voss area was [url="http://129.177.171.80/cgi-win/wc/webcens.exe?slag=meny&kategori=5&emne=1&spraak=e"]Bergen[/url].
