Ship Rockingham -1836
James E HegI found this ship but not the voyage. She was American flag, of 513 US register tons. Captain William L. Dwight. Sailing for Taylor and Merrill Lines of New York. Her normal assigment was NY to New Orleans. I find that frequently these companies would put a ship up for Havre or Liverpool in the summer season, if they were large enough. The weather was right and the New Orleans trade was slack, waiting for the new cotton crop. Many of the companies in the Havre trade used V. Mazin & Co. as Havre agents. If this is helpful, I can send a few others. Jim
BorgeThanks James, this is a great addition to the ship database. If you can lookup more it will be great.
