Born on the 12th of August 1864 in Rennesoy Parish
...hair colour, ...eye colour,...height, with distinguishing characteristics..., has been registered in the Shipping Register and has been presented with this Certificate, which permits service to foreign countries until the 1st of January 1886.

I've not been able to find these ships on any ship list and have been told Lars traveled to America on a merchant marine ship.
