From Bodo to Quebec 1866-1867?
bogofishFinally found the ship. St Lawrence 1867 Thanks. http://www.norwayheritage.com/p_list.asp?jo=1788 Nov 2005 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I haven't been able to find a family who left Bodo and arrived in Quebec. Have checked under all the possible names and ships listed. Were there some ships from Bodo to Quebec that they may have hitched a ride with? How can I find that info? 1865 census places them in Bodo. US census shows they were naturalized in Penn. History of Minn says they first came to Quebec. Ludvig Jensvold (Margarini), Sandra, Albert, Louris and Frithjof Jensvold (Margarini). Any ideas? - Thanks, Bo.
jwiborgHave you checked this passenger list? click here It's the passenger list for s/s Belgian, departuring from Liverpool, UK on May 10th 1866, arriving Quebec May 23rd. 3 men are listed, A. Jensvold 25, Chr. Jensvold* 28, G. Jensvold* 25. Jan
bogofishYes, I did see that... but the names dont match, neither do the ages and wife and kids not there. Thanks for checking though, I really appreciate it! Thanks, Bo.
Jo Anne SadlerThe 1900-1930 US Federal census' indicates the year they immigrated, not always accurate, but a start. You could then rent the Quebec films from a local Family History Center and start scrolling!! A tedious process but it might yield results. Good luck[:)]
