boat called Rosenius
bevI am trying to locate a boat called Rosenius that went from Norway to London in the late 1800's. My greatgran father sailed on this boat and I am trying to establish the dates that he left Norway to coincide with when he left London to come to Australia. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated Many Thanks
BriningHi Have you tried looking for him in the Digitalarkivet emigrant registers?Click Here I did a brief search and didn't find the Rosenius but there are lots of listings without ships names so he could be there. Carla
BorgeI am pretty sure this was not an emigrant ship if it left from Oslo. It was probably a merchant ship, if not I think we would have had it in the emigrant ship database. Was your great-grandfather a sailor?

We have been told he was danish and went to England on a boat named Rosenius - he was in the merchant navy in Australia so maybe it was a merchant ship - can you help with how to find out where this ship travelled ??? Many thanks
