He was married to a Ingeborg Marta Rones from Beitstad Norway.
I am running into trouble finding out when he came to america and on what ship, as that is all the info I have on him.
They had 4 children, all born in America, one died really young.
And a boy and girl, Gilbert 1913-1920 & Helga 1915-1920 of Scarlet fever or rheumatic fever. The only other child to survive was my Grandfather: Ingvar Olaf Rennemo born; 1908-1983 he was born in Guthrie, Minnesota. Lived in shotley MN.
If anyone has ran across Hendrik Rennemo in your searchings could you please let me know?
Seems like I hit a dead end for now!
Thanks |
jwiborg | Hi,
Henrik Rennemo is listed 3 times in the list of Emigrants from Trondheim 1867-1930:
1st trip: March 29, 1893 Note: Listed as "Henrik Rindmoe"
2nd trip: June 24rd,1896
3rd trip: April 3rd, 1901
In the Ellis Island records, he is listed as "Henrie Rammews" (mistake by the transcriber), arriving April 23, 1901, with the ship "The Cymric", sailing from Liverpool on April 12th.
Servant Ingeborg Rones (27), is on the same ship!! [:)]
I'm pretty sure Henrik Rindmoe is your man, because he list his residence as "America" in his 1896 trip, and Rindmoe and Rennemo are pronounced very similar in Norwegian.
He looks to be from the place Beitstaden in Nord Trøndelag county, ie. the same place as his wife... [:)]

I've looked through that site, but everytime I thought I was heading in the right direction it kept changing me over to the Norwegian language!!
I sat for days trying to figure out that site!
Again Thank-You so much!!
I know that is him!! Now I just need to find his parents!
With all the Rennemo's in the world he has to be related to them somewhere! |
