Iver Iverson Immigrant
grandpajanMy great grandfather immigrated from Marteplads, Nes, Buskerud, Norway sometime between 1850 and 1860. He came to America and fought in the Civil War with the Iowa Regulars. He settled in Benson, Minnesota. I am looking for a passenger list and immigrant list showing him as an immigrant from Norway. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks. WallyHi, Just go to the section at the top of this page. You will find 3 fields to punch in. In the last, just use the all category. You will find he came here in 1851 incognito. You will also find he was 30 years old. If you further wish, go to http://www. google. com and punch in the name. Under the category Norweigens who served in the Civil War, you will find his name.
WallyJan, Looking at the listing on google, I noticed he was married. I don't know to whom he was married, and what her nationality was.
