Jacob S. Dyrhaug Married Gunhilda Jensen in 1894
trennemo	I am looking for anyone with information on a Jacob S. Dyrhaug. He was Batized in a town called- in Norway, maybe the town was Dyrhaug and the Church is Eid pa nordmore? Eid Pa Nordmore- I don't know how to make the right characters here but the "a" in Pa has a little circle over it and the first "o" in Nordmore has the two little dots above it. I know he has a 1st cousin by the name of Sivert Halsten Dyrhaug and a 2nd cousin by the name of Nils Dyrhaug. Jacob left Norway, I don't know the year, and came to America where he lived in Crookston, Minnesota, USA. He married Gunhilda Jensen/Jenson in 1894 In Crookston, MN. They had 5 boys, Melvin, Carl Sivert, Halsten, Martin. All were born in MN, Married and had children. Gunhilda came to america about 1887-1889 from Norway. [:)] I can not tell the year in which this voyage took place, I believe this is Jacob's Nephew's family instead of my Jacob? His Nephews name was Sivert? I am sorry but I am having a hard time connecting the names, and knowing for sure if they are the right people!? trennemo	Again THANK-You!! That was the right family, I just got mail from a relative that confirms some of Jacob's sibilings and parents names! I need a little help with this translation that Jacob wrote on the back of his mothers portrait: "Detter er portrit of Hanna Halstensdatter Dyrhaug, Moder til Sigrid Anna, anders Martinius, Halsten, Anne Birgite, Sivert Nicolai, Knut andrius, Sigrid Anna Bertini, Jacob og Hans." Bascially what is Detter er? Moder til = mother to? What would Jacob og Hans mean? Jacob was born May 17 or 18, 1872. So he wasn't born yet for the 1865 census, does anyone else go with my theory of the older Aage being Jacob's Grandfather along with the 30 year out Knut being a Uncle? The place is Dyrhaug, in Eide "Comunity", it's a place in the middel of Norway at the coast, the nearest town is Molde or Kristiansund.
